I have been visiting a friend staying at the Sacramento Post Acute facility. Every staff person I have passed by, asked a question of or needed something ftom have been very friendly and accommodating. Everyone always has a smile to give. The only care concern is the delay of receiving medications in a timely manner. This is the second day she has not had her eye medication. Parking is not easy to find. The parking lot is very small and I’ve noticed that staff uses it therfore leaving minimal if any spaces for visitors. Street parking is also not easy to find in part because of an apartment complex and staff.

Although I ultimately chose to return home, I want to thank the staff at Sacramento Post Acute for the care they provided during my recovery following spine surgery. The nurses, CNAs, therapy staff, admissions team, and management were consistently professional, respectful, and attentive to my needs. Julie in Admissions was especially helpful throughout my stay and during the discharge process. The staff listened to my concerns, worked with me regarding medications, and treated me with kindness and respect. When I made the decision to return home, they handled the process professionally and ensured I understood everything before leaving. Recovery is a personal journey, and for me, being back in my own home with my support system and my pug, Jada Bug, was the right decision. That does not take away from the dedication and hard work of the people who cared for me while I was there. Thank you to everyone at Sacramento Post Acute for your care and professionalism. I wish you all the best.” -Jeff Watson

My husband is today coming home after 36 days in Sacramento Post-Acute Care. The physical and occupational therapists were wonderful, (scale of 1-10, a definite 10.) As other reviewers have stated, admission was well done, the nursing staff seemed to be overloaded. However they were all very friendly and helpful. And CNA Celly was always very helpful and on the spot. Some other CNAs were good, always friendly, However, there were times when the response to the call light was slow, more staff would, I believe be helpful. The Case Manager, Tze, was also very helpful and communicated well.

I was admitted to Sutter Medical Center for more than ten days due to a serious joint infection that required five surgeries to clean the infected areas. After working with my physical therapist at Sutter, it was recommended that I transfer to a rehabilitation facility because I would not have adequate support if I returned home. After reviewing the list provided by the Sutter case worker and reading online reviews, Sacramento Post Acute appeared to be a promising choice. However, my experience upon arrival was disappointing. First, my room was not prepared for my arrival. The food was overly salty, and staff response times were often slow. More importantly, my prescribed antibiotics had not been ordered. The first nurse I spoke with minimized the issue and stated that the medication would arrive by 11:30 p.m. After waiting, I contacted the front desk and spoke with another nurse who was unaware of the situation. She took the time to contact Sutter and review my transfer paperwork, which clearly indicated that my antibiotics were scheduled daily at 9:00 p.m. Once the error was confirmed, the nurse was able to place the order, and the antibiotics were finally delivered around 1:00 a.m. Staying on schedule with these medications is critical, as missing doses could result in a relapse of the infection and potentially require additional surgery. Another concern was the lack of consideration shown by some residents. On one occasion, a patient had a television playing at an extremely high volume, and I had to ask the nursing staff to have the volume lowered or the door closed. As my stay continues, I will provide updates to this review. My recommendation to anyone considering a rehabilitation facility is to have a family member or friend visit the location in person before making a decision. Online reviews can paint a very different picture from the reality you may experience after arrival. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision when choosing a facility for their recovery. In my experience, many facilities receive positive ratings online, but the actual experience can be very different.

My husband has been in long-term care at Sacramento PostAcute, and I truly appreciate the kindness and compassion shown by the staff. The nurses, CNAs, therapists, and support staff all work incredibly hard and genuinely care about the residents and their families. I especially want to recognize the admissions staff for making a very difficult transition feel much easier for our family. They were welcoming, patient, organized, and always willing to answer questions and guide us through the process with kindness and professionalism. Their support meant a lot during an emotional time. It gives me peace of mind knowing my husband is treated with dignity, patience, and respect. The facility is clean, communication has been good, and the staff always try to make residents feel comfortable and cared for. Long-term care is never easy for families, but we are very grateful for the support and dedication we’ve experienced here. Thank you to everyone at Sacramento Post Acute for all that you do every day.

When my pop was staying here, he almost died because they didn’t care if he ate or not and didn’t try to find out why. It turned out he had 2 abseses in his abdomen due to his surgery. He would have died if I had not sent by ambulance to the hospital.
MY husband has been in POST ACUTE for about two weeks. Ninety-Eight percent of the staff is very friendly. They are constantly checking on my husband to make certain that he is ok or if he needs anything. My husband is an Air Force Veteran. I like that Post Acute recognizes the sacrifices of service members such as my husband. Thank you Molly, Thank you Christian. Keep up the great work! FrankieJ

I’d like to give a review of the Sacramento Post Acute facility on Hemlock Ave, in Sacramento. The people are what make this such a good place to recover in. Julie Swift on intake, Celly the CNA was available at the push of a button. Other staff were always there and very helpful. PT folks, Morgan, Adriana, Kimi, Stephanie, and Gwen were there everyday to help me gain the usage of my left knee. Excellent folks and they followed plans to get me on my way as soon as possible. I can’t think of anything that would make me change my mind on the quality of the care I received there.
